Travel with mobile data

In Afghanistan, a mobile connection may be needed for practical coordination: confirming a contact in Kabul, finding an agreed meeting point and retrieving arrangements made before arrival. Travel plans can change, and important addresses should never live only in an online map. This eSIM is a data plan for the supported destination shown on the product page, designed for a compatible, unlocked device. It can be installed digitally before it is needed, but it should not be presented as a guarantee of connectivity on any particular road or in any particular province. Keep essential contact numbers and itinerary details available offline as well. For journeys between Kabul and regional destinations, keep the address of your host and essential confirmations saved offline before any long transfer.

Coverage and local networks

The Technical Specs list Etisalat 3G as the partner network. That is a narrower and more useful statement than implying access to every local operator or a nationwide high-speed service. Signal and available data speed depend on local conditions and the exact location, including whether you are indoors or away from populated areas. Some routes may have weak or unavailable service. If another person is expecting an update from you, agree in advance when to communicate and what to do if a message cannot be sent immediately. Avoid depending on continuous mobile data for essential travel arrangements.

Using data during your trip

Data can support maps, booking messages, translation and access to stored documents when a working connection is available. Those tasks generally use less allowance than long video calls, streaming or large automatic backups. Download addresses, routes and copies of important reservations over Wi-Fi before setting out. Check which applications will be accessible in the places relevant to your own trip and prepare an offline alternative. A travel eSIM is one part of planning a journey; it is not a substitute for local coordination or separate arrangements to communicate if the mobile network is unavailable.

Choosing and installing your eSIM

Choose the Unlimited plan duration that covers your full trip, including arrival and departure. Select a validity period covering your expected stay and allow additional data if you must send files or use a hotspot. To install, connect your unlocked eSIM-compatible phone to reliable Wi-Fi. Follow the one-tap link if your order provides one and the phone supports that method, or scan the QR code and follow the order's manual instructions. Keep the installation details accessible and choose the eSIM for mobile data when you are ready to use the plan.

Calls, messaging and plan details

This is a data-only eSIM. It does not provide a new Afghan number, regular SMS or standard voice minutes. If you need to receive texts or calls on your existing number, keep your primary SIM and understand any charges from that provider. Internet-based calls and messages use plan data only where the applications and local network permit them. Check the Hotspot entry in this Unlimited plan's Technical Specs. If supported by your phone and plan, connected devices share the same connection. Check the plan's speed-reduction and fair-use terms, especially for video, uploads and cloud backups. Before buying, review the latest network and Supported Countries details on this specific product; a listed network capability does not guarantee that every device, route or application will work in every location.

Extending your plan

You can top up this Unlimited eSIM by adding extra days of validity, not GB.
