Travel with mobile data

Vietnam journeys often connect Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City by flight, train or road. Mobile data makes it easier to check transport details, navigate to accommodation, contact drivers and keep bookings within reach. The eSIMGlobe Vietnam eSIM provides a digital data plan for compatible, unlocked phones, without needing a physical SIM purchase after arrival. For an itinerary involving Hanoi, Da Nang, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City, having the connection ready helps you retrieve a booking reference, send your arrival time and find the correct pickup point. Overnight trains, domestic flights and city transfers can make a single trip feel like several separate journeys. Store the most important confirmation numbers and addresses before departure, so a temporary gap in coverage does not stop your next step.

Using data during your trip

The same installed plan can support travel within Vietnam, from city navigation to longer transfers. Use it for maps, digital tickets and messages when a partner network is available. This product lists Vietnam as its supported destination; a visit to Laos, Cambodia or another country needs separately confirmed coverage. Save tickets, key addresses and offline maps before remote journeys. The Technical Specs list Vietnamobile 4G, Vinaphone 4G for this product. Partner access does not promise the same speed in every place. Store booking codes and arrival addresses offline; indoor spaces, transport and less populated routes can behave differently from a city centre. If you cross a national border, check the Supported Countries list rather than assuming that a nearby destination is covered.

Coverage and local networks

The current product specifications list Vietnamobile 4G and Vinaphone 4G as partner networks. Available coverage and speed depend on the particular route, network, device and local conditions. Major cities and smaller towns, indoor locations and rural stretches may have different signal quality; uninterrupted service cannot be assumed throughout the journey. A phone must be unlocked and support eSIM to install this plan. The order instructions may offer a one-tap link on the same device, or a QR code that you scan from another screen in your phone's mobile-plan settings. Install over reliable Wi-Fi before you need the connection, retain the confirmation email and select the eSIM for mobile data at the appropriate time. If data does not connect, check the supplied activation settings.

Choosing and installing your eSIM

Choose the Unlimited plan duration that covers your full trip, including arrival and departure. Messaging and navigation generally use less data than streaming, video calls or cloud uploads. You can top up this Unlimited eSIM by adding extra days of validity, not GB. Plan the allowance around the full itinerary, not simply the first day. Navigation, email and messages generally use less data than streaming, cloud backups and sharing a hotspot with another device.

Install the eSIM over a stable internet connection using the instructions supplied with your order. If a one-tap link is provided for your phone, follow it on that device; alternatively, scan the supplied QR code from a second screen. You can prepare before departure, then select the eSIM for mobile data at the appropriate time. This is a data-only plan: it does not include a new phone number, standard calls or SMS. Keep your primary SIM active for your existing number if needed, and check its roaming settings. Internet-based messages and calls use data where those apps are available. This plan supplies mobile data and does not issue a new telephone number, standard voice calls or SMS. You may keep your usual SIM active for those services, subject to your own operator's charges and settings. Internet-based messaging uses the eSIM data where the service is available locally. Signal may vary in mountain districts and on boat trips. Keep essential directions and contacts offline as a backup when reception varies.
